skillsets in Central Asia to understand and effectively communicate about climate change and the linkages between climate change and biodiversity conservation.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-center para-style-body wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Structure of the workshop<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-center para-style-body wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">The workshop will be led by a nationally and internationally recognised journalist with expertise on environmental issues and focus on three tracks critical to storytelling:<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Technical skills include the skills workshop designed to introduce and deepen understanding of data mining\/storytelling<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Editorial skills, which include ways to identify and pitch stories, how to secure the elements needed to produce them, and how to craft them<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Practical skills, through which participants will apply their learning to complete a short story during the training course<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">The workshop includes visiting field sites in the Tigrovaya Balka nature reserve.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">This training is open for journalists based in Tajikistan, freelance or working for established Tajik media from photojournalism, video\/documentary, and print\/web media who regularly cover environmental issues, especially climate change and its impacts in the Central Asian region.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-center para-style-body wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">The application must be submitted no later than the deadline<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-center para-style-body wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">25 September 2023<\/span><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"> (midnight, Dushanbe time)<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-the-central-asian-mammals-and-climate-adaptation-camca-project wp-block-embed-the-central-asian-mammals-and-climate-adaptation-camca-project\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">https:\/\/camcaproject.org\/resources\/call-for-applications-communication-workshop-october-2023\/<\/div>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The communication workshop will strengthen journalists&#8217;
