Project Partners

The Central Asian Mammals and Climate Adaptation (CAMCA) project is funded by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and led by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).

In collaboration with national, regional, and international partners, CAMCA ensures climate adaptation and biodiversity conservation in the Central Asian countries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. The partners collaborate to increase the resilience of flagship mountain and other migratory species – snow leopard, argali sheep, Asiatic ibex, Tien Shan maral, Bukhara deer, and Himalayan brown bear – and associated ecosystems and communities to climate change and other related threats.

Please see below for a brief overview of the partners within each country.
